WORK
Retoucher during the week, documentary photographer on the weekends.
(Not much money in documentary, as it turns out.)
Main *areas of expertise* include commercial high-end retouching, compositing, colour grading, digitization and archival retouch, as well as 16mm film restoration.
Since 2018 I have worked on and off at House of Retouching both as a retoucher and project manager. Between 2020 and 2023 I worked as a Senior Digital Restoration Specialist at TVP (mainly contributing to the Perły Archiwów project).
I have also taught Post-production courses at Akademia Fotografii in Kraków and occasionally organize one-off Photoshop for Photographers workshops.
As a photographer, I mainly work on long-term personal projects, as well as “spiritually documentary” stories that utilize digital manipulation in one way or the other.
I also write about the intersection of contemporary Polish fine art photography and digital manipulation.
