In July 2016 more than 3 million young Catholics descended on Kraków for five days of celebrations during World Youth Day 2016 (Światowe Dni Młodzieży). Vastly outnumbered, many residents scrambled to escape to the countryside, while the city was overtaken by pilgrims. I've stayed behind to document the scene. Story shot for Rytmy.pl
